PURPOSE STATEMENT OF OUR CHURCH
.

God's love for us has been revealed in the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, to bring the assurance of eternal life and the gift of the Holy Spirit to those who trust in Him. Being called to this new life and filled with His love, we, the members of St. John's Lutheran Church, rest firmly on the foundation of Christ - His work of salvation and His mission for us. We exist to deepen our relationship with Christ, so that through the ministry of the Holy Spirit we seek His truth, reflect His Word, worship Him, exercise His gifts, and respond to His love by witnessing to and serving each other, the community, and the world. We do this by…

Ministering to families and individuals
Equipping members for practicing the priesthood of all believers
Reaching out to our community and to the world
Adopting and practicing Christian values
Being joyful and diverse ourselves in worship
Committing to our educational ministry
Caring for our professional workers
Integrating members with special needs
Finding growth in conflict
Interacting in our district and synod
Acknowledging and ministering to the poor

We ask for God’s blessing on our ministry. We hope you will join us!
